singing out for a fairer world
Part of the Campaign Choirs Network
These are some of the events that we will be involved in over the coming months.
Contact us if you would like any further information on these or other events we are involved with.
We rehearse most Sunday evenings - why not join us?
We will be singing at the event to open the Nottingham Refugee Week at the Council House in Nottingham
Join us in a 'creative campaigning' workshop to share and learn songs welcoming refugees and opposing intolerance. After a shared lunch the workshop will be followed by a street performance at the Brian Clough statue in Nottingham City Centre at 2.00pm.
The workshop is free, but please sign up at wegottickets so that we know how many people are coming. Please bring food to share for lunch. We will be asking for voluntary donations to the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum on the day.
The workshop and street performance are a part of the Nottingham Refugee Week
'Connecting the Norman Conquest and Peasants’ Revolt with fracking, our housing crisis and Brexit via the Enclosures and Industrial Revolution, the show draws a compelling narrative through the people’s history of England. Part TED talk, part folk club sing-a-long, come and share these tales as they have been shared for generations.'
We will be supporting the show at the start of the second half.
